Dil Raju and 'Pushpa 2' Producers Targeted in IT Raids at Multiple Locations

Income Tax Raids Target Dil Raju and 'Pushpa 2' Producers Across Multiple Locations

Income Tax (IT) authorities have carried out extensive raids on properties linked to renowned Tollywood producer Dil Raju and the producers of Pushpa 2. Over 55 teams conducted inspections across more than eight locations, including Dil Raju’s residences and offices in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. Properties connected to his family members, including his brother Shirish, daughter Hanshitha Reddy, and other relatives, were also raided.

In addition to his significant role in film production and distribution, Dil Raju's investments in real estate are reportedly being examined during the investigation.

The IT department also targeted the offices and properties of Pushpa 2 producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, who operate under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. Known for their high-budget productions, Mythri Movie Makers gained widespread attention with the success of Pushpa 2, one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024.

While the exact reasons for the raids have not been officially disclosed, the large-scale operation has led to speculation about possible financial irregularities in the Tollywood industry. Media reports suggest that the raids could be linked to unaccounted income and financial discrepancies.

Dil Raju, also known as V. Venkata Ramana, is a prominent figure in Telugu cinema and the Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman. His recent productions include Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. While Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has seen lackluster box office performance, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, has received positive reviews for its grand visuals and socially relevant themes, despite some criticisms regarding predictability and a heavy-handed narrative.
