Chandrababu Naidu contacted the wife of the missing MPDO as the search operation entered its second day

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu spoke with the wife and son of Narasapuram MPDO M. Venkata Ramana Rao, who has been missing for four days, offering his condolences. He inquired about any last communications from Rao before his disappearance and sought information regarding the pressures he was facing. Mrs. Sunitha informed the Chief Minister that her husband had been under significant stress due to work-related issues recently.
Naidu assured a thorough investigation into the matter with punitive measures for those responsible. He also pledged full support to the family and coordinated with West Godavari District Collector Ch. Nagarani, who was with them. The Chief Minister instructed regular updates to his office on the ongoing incident.
The search for MPDO Rao entered its second day on Thursday, with State Disaster Response Force and local police intensively combing the Eluru Canal from Madhura Nagar to Kesarapalli. A dedicated team of 40 personnel, including skilled swimmers from Penamaluru and Hanuman Junction, continued efforts to locate him.
Monitoring the operation closely, Krishna district SP R. Gangadhar Rao, along with four DSPs, appealed to the public to provide any relevant information about Rao's whereabouts.
