When you hear the name Atreyapuram in Ambedkar's Konaseema district, the mouth-watering Putarekus immediately comes to mind. The special trade mark sweet coated flakes here are loved not only by the people of both the states but also by the sweet lovers across the country. As soon as you put it in your mouth, the putarekulu will dissolve. The color, taste, fragrance and cleanliness have made them so crazed. Freshly made golden potshereks there. Akshaya embarked on this work in the background of Tritiya. Edible Gold i.e. these puthareks are made with gold leaves used in the preparation of sweets. Each gold plated foil costs Rs 800.

Atreyapuram Chadastam Putharekula shop has special sale of 24 carat edible gold putharekula. People showed interest to taste these putarekus. The owner of the shop said that Akshaya Tritiya is famous for buying gold..so they have made gold plated foils. It is known that Atreyapuram Puthareks got international geographical recognition recently.

As far as AP is concerned, only 18 areas with historical background have been given geographical recognition. They include tirupati laddoos, bandaru laddoos, kondapalli dolls and uppada jindani sarees. Atreyapuram Putareku has recently joined this list. BR Ambedkar Konaseema District Collector Himanshu Shukla recently said that the gazette regarding this will come in another 4 months.

అంబేద్కర్ కోనసీమ జిల్లాలోని  ఆత్రేయపురం అనే పేరు వినగానే వెంటనే గుర్తెచ్చేది నోరూరించే పూతరేకులు. ఇక్కడి స్పెషల్ ట్రేడ్ మార్క్ స్వీటైన పూత రేకులు అంటే ఉభయ రాష్ట్రాల్లోని ప్రజలు మాత్రమే కాదు దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న స్వీట్ లవర్స్ ఇష్టపడతారు. నోట్లో ఇట్టా పెట్టుకోగానే అట్టా కరిగిపోతాయి పూతరేకులు. రంగు, రుచి, సువాసన, శుభ్రత వల్ల వీటికి అంత క్రేజ్ వచ్చింది. తాజాగా అక్కడ బంగారు పూతరేకులు తయారు చేశారు. అక్షయ తృతీయ నేపథ్యంలో ఈ పనికి పూనుకున్నారు. ఎడిబుల్ గోల్డ్ అనగా స్వీట్స్ తయారీలో వినియోగించే స్వర్ణ రేకులతో ఈ పూతరేకులు తయారుచేశారు. ఒక్కో బంగారు పూత రేకు ధర 800 రూపాయలు.

ఆత్రేయపురం చాదస్తం పూతరేకుల షాపులో 24 క్యారెట్స్ ఎడిబుల్ గోల్డ్‌తో తయారు చేసిన పూతరేకులను స్పెషల్‌గా విక్రయించారు. ఈ పూతరేకులను టేస్ట్ చేసేందుకు జనం ఆసక్తి కనబరిచారు. అక్షయ తృతీయ అంటే బంగారం కొనుగోలుకు ప్రసిద్ధి.. కనుక తాము గోల్డెన్ పూత రేకులు తయారు చేసినట్లు షాపు యజమాని తెలిపారు. ఆత్రేయపురం పూతరేకులకు ఇటీవలే అంతర్జాతీయ భౌగోలిక గుర్తింపు దక్కిన విషయం తెలిసిందే.

ఏపీకి సంబందించి ఇప్పటి వరకు కేవలం 18 ప్రాంతాల్లో చారిత్రక నేపథ్యం ఉన్న వాటికే భౌగోళిక గుర్తింపు దక్కింది. వాటిలో తిరుపతి లడ్డూ, బందరు లడ్డూ,  కొండపల్లి బొమ్మలు, ఉప్పాడ జిందానీ చీరలు వంటివి ఉన్నాయి. తాజాగా ఆత్రేయపురం పూతరేకు ఈ లిస్ట్‌లో చేరింది. మరో 4 నెలల్లో దీనికి సంబంధిచిన గెజిట్‌ రానున్నట్లు బీఆర్‌ అంబేడ్కర్‌ కోనసీమ జిల్లా కలెక్టర్‌ హిమాన్షు శుక్లా ఇటీవల తెలిపారు.
