A student has reportedly attempted suicide at a college hostel in Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, a second-year Intermediate student from Sri Chaitanya College attempted suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room in Chaitanyapuri. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when her roommate discovered her hanging and promptly alerted the hostel staff, who intervened and rushed her to a nearby private hospital. The victim, hailing from Achampet in Nagarkurnool district and from an agricultural background, is pursuing BiPC.
The student left behind a suicide note citing concerns over her academic performance and the pressure to meet her parents' expectations. Her parents alleged that she had been subjected to harassment by the college management, which they claimed led to her suicide attempt. However, the police have stated that no formal complaint has been filed regarding this matter.
