A man in Hyderabad has been arrested for the alleged murder of his wife reportedly due to suspicions of infidelity

In Hyderabad, Uppal police arrested a 32-year-old man on Sunday for allegedly murdering his wife over suspicions of infidelity. The crime came to light when the owner of their rented house noticed a foul smell emanating from the residence.
The accused, identified as Pradip Bola, worked at a hotel. He and his wife, Madhumitha Pradhan, married in 2019 and had relocated to Hyderabad from their native village in Odisha. Police reported that their marriage was marked by frequent conflicts, primarily fueled by Pradip's suspicions of Madhumitha having an extramarital affair.
Tensions escalated after Madhumitha had filed a complaint against Pradip at the Kendrapara police station in Odisha, which was temporarily resolved with the intervention of village elders but proved short-lived.
On July 4, a serious altercation erupted when Madhumitha did not cook for Pradip, who then opted to eat at a local restaurant. A similar incident occurred on July 7, leading Pradip to fatally assault Madhumitha by striking her head with a chapati rolling board and subsequently strangling her with a chunni (scarf). He confirmed her death and concealed her body in a bag hidden in their bathroom.
Pradip fled with their daughter to Secunderabad Railway Station, abandoning the child on the platform before continuing to his workplace in Somajiguda. Police tracked and apprehended him soon after.
During their investigation, Uppal police recovered Madhumitha's body from the bag along with the weapons used in the assault, Pradip's mobile phone, and her clothing.
Madhumitha had previously lodged a complaint in Odisha regarding Pradip's suspicions, which had led to ongoing disputes between them.
