A fatal road accident took place near Prakasam District Darshi. The wedding party bus overturned in Sagar Canal near Darshi. Seven people died in this accident. Among the dead were five women, a child and a young man. Another 30 people were injured.

 The bus was going from Podili to Kakinada for a wedding reception when the driver lost control and plunged into a canal. It is known that there were 45 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.

 All of them attended the wedding ceremony held on Monday in Podili and left for the reception in Kakinada in a special RTC bus. On the information of the locals, the police reached the spot. The overturned bus was pulled out with the help of a crane.

It is known that three of the dead are from the same family. Six-year-old girl Sheikh Heena's body was found trapped in the water under the bus. The police took out the baby's body with great difficulty.

 It is known that the dead include the bride's two great-aunts, grandmother and great-aunt's daughter-in-law. It was found that Hafiz Saab Abdul Aziz, his wife and granddaughter were present at the Bodili Masjid.

On Sunday, the wedding took place near the bride's house. Reception (walima) for the groom at Kakinada on Tuesday.

 The bride's relatives left for the reception by bus. Bride's father Siraj and groom's father Manzoor Ahmed are both working in Saudi. Children came to their hometowns for marriage.
