AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the distribution of pensions at Penumaka in Mangalagiri on July 1st

He will personally deliver the enhanced benefits to selected beneficiaries at their homes in the ST Colony at Penumaka. The aim is to ensure that payments reach a maximum of 65.31 lakh beneficiaries on the same day.
Preparations are complete for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to initiate the distribution of social security pensions at Penumaka village in Mangalagiri Assembly constituency at 6 a.m. on July 1st.
He will personally deliver the pensions to selected beneficiaries at their homes in the ST Colony at Penumaka.
The goal is to distribute pensions to as many as 65.31 lakh beneficiaries on the same day wherever feasible.
According to an official release, pensions will be distributed across 28 categories. The pension amount has been increased from ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 for categories including the elderly, weavers, widows, toddy-tappers, fishermen, single women, traditional cobblers, transgenders, artists, dappu artistes, and patients undergoing anti-retroviral therapy.
For disabled individuals (physically disabled and those with leprosy), the pension has been doubled from ₹3,000 to ₹6,000. Similarly, those with chronic diseases such as kidney ailments and thalassemia will now receive ₹10,000, up from ₹5,000. Pensions in other categories remain unchanged.
The total pension disbursement amounts to ₹4,408 crore, with approximately 1,20,100 government staff facilitating doorstep payments to beneficiaries.
