Actor Vijay Deverakonda is all set to star in an exciting new film based on a story from the British era. After his success in family dramas, love stories, and sports-based narratives, Deverakonda has been on the lookout for a significant commercial success following his hit film Geetha Govindam. To break away from conventional roles, the actor is now opting for diverse and unique scripts.

Currently, Vijay Deverakonda is working with Jersey fame director Gowtam Tinnanuri on a film set for release this summer. Additionally, he is collaborating with director Rahul Sankrityan, known for Taxiwaala, on a new project that will begin shooting soon.

This upcoming venture is described as a period action drama, set between 1854 and 1878 during the British era. Based on real historical events, the film will delve into aspects that haven’t been explored in previous films with similar settings.

The production team has already begun constructing a special set for the movie, with the set work officially launched on Republic Day. The film is being produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar. Currently, it is being developed under the working title VD 14.
