The government headed by Chief Minister Jagan has decided to establish 6 more mandals in Andhra Pradesh. It has been announced that six district centers will be divided into two mandals. In this regard, the Andhra Pradesh state government issued a preliminary notification on Wednesday.
Vizianagaram, Chittoor, Nandyala, Anantapur and Ongole district centers have been divided into urban and rural mandals. Also Machilipatnam will be divided into South and North mandals. Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation includes some wards and suburbs and divides it into South and North mandals.

ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లో కొత్తగా మరో 6 మండలాలను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి జగన్ నేతృత్వంలోని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. ఆరు జిల్లా కేంద్రాలను రెండు మండలాలుగా విడదీస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించింది. ఈ మేరకు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం బుధవారం ప్రాథమిక నోటిఫికేషన్‌ జారీ చేసింది. విజయనగరం, చిత్తూరు, నంద్యాల, అనంతపురం, ఒంగోలు జిల్లా కేంద్రాలను అర్బన్‌, రూరల్‌ మండలాలుగా విభజించింది.
అలాగే మచిలీపట్నంను సౌత్, నార్త్ మండలాలుగా విభజించనున్నట్లు పేర్కొంది. మచిలీపట్నం మున్సిపల్ కార్పొరేషన్ పరిధిలోని కొన్ని వార్డులు, శివారు గ్రామాలను కలుపుకొని సౌత్, నార్త్ మండలాలుగా విభజించింది.
