CCTV Cameras Installed at Exam Centres: Over 8,000 Cameras Set Up for Inter Public Exams Under Strict Surveillance

CCTV Cameras Installed at Exam Centres for Inter Public Exams Starting March 5th

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced that CCTV cameras will be installed at all exam centres across the state to ensure transparency and security during the upcoming Intermediate Public Examinations. The exams are scheduled to begin on March 5th. Krishnadhitya, the Secretary of the Board, informed Akunoori Murali, Chairman of the Telangana State Education Commission, about the arrangements, confirming that over 8,000 CCTV cameras have been set up at various government and private junior colleges.

These cameras are part of the efforts to prevent malpractice during the exams. The CCTV surveillance system will be linked to a central command control room, allowing real-time monitoring of exam centres. The system aims to ensure strict vigilance and transparency, helping to avoid any disruptions. Already, CCTV cameras have been installed for monitoring the ongoing practice exams, with the data being linked to the board's command center.

A dedicated team of 40 staff members will monitor the footage from the cameras to maintain security and fairness throughout the exams, which will run from March 5th to 25th. The main objective of this surveillance system is to uphold transparency, integrity, and security. Akunoori Murali, along with Commission members, Professor P.L. Vishweshwar Rao and Jyotsna Reddy, inspected the camera systems at the exam centres on February 14th. This initiative is expected to serve as an example for educational systems nationwide, ensuring smooth and fair conduct of the exams.
