VIJAYAWADA: YSRC President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced a Rs 1 crore aid package for Budameru flood victims following a meeting with senior party leaders at the Tadepalli office on Tuesday.
Jagan, who personally visited the affected areas, criticized the TDP-led NDA government for inadequate relief efforts. "The Rs 1 crore aid from YSRC will support the flood victims," he stated.
YSRC leaders highlighted that despite Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's visit, essential relief measures like food, water, and medicines have not been adequately provided.
Senior YSRC leaders including Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Botcha Satyanarayana, Merugu Nagarjuna, Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, Karamuri Nageswara Rao, Kurasala Kannababu, Malladi Vishnu, and Vijayawada Mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi were present at the meeting.
Opposition Leader in the Legislative Council, Botcha Satyanarayana, announced that the YSRC would distribute 100,000 milk packets and 200,000 water bottles to flood victims in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
