DINDIGUL: In response to allegations that the ghee supplied to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for making laddus and other items contained animal fat, AR Dairy Food Private Limited from Dindigul firmly denied the claims on Friday.
The company stated that it has been supplying high-quality ghee to TTD and is prepared to face legal action to defend its reputation. This comes after TTD authorities reported that ghee samples sent to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) showed the presence of foreign fat. Following this finding, the ghee stock provided by AR Dairy Food was returned.
Quality Control Managers Leni and Kannan addressed the media, emphasizing that their company has been in the ghee supply business for over 20 years and has always maintained high standards. "These are false charges against us. We supplied ghee to TTD during June and July," they noted.
The company clarified that only 0.5 percent of their total ghee production was sent to TTD, and they conducted quality tests before dispatching the product. They have retained the quality report, a copy of which was provided to TTD alongside the ghee, which was intended solely for making laddus.
Managing Director R. Rajasekar remarked, "We supplied good quality ghee. While being blacklisted is a normal procedure, we have already submitted documents in response to the blacklisting. The incident is currently under investigation, and we are ready to face legal challenges to prove our quality."
