On November 15 in Mumbai, actor Naga Chaitanya Akkineni announced his debut on the OTT platform with the supernatural suspense thriller series 'Dhootha,' set to premiere on December 1.

In the series, Naga Chaitanya portrays the character of Sagar, an ambitious and successful journalist who becomes entangled in supernatural events connected to mysterious and gruesome deaths, casting a shadow over his family.

The eight-episode series also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Prachi Desai in pivotal roles. 'Dhootha' is set to exclusively premiere on Prime Video.

Sharrath Marar, producer at NorthStar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., expressed enthusiasm for 'Dhootha,' describing it as one of the most ambitious Telugu series. He highlighted the extensive preparation, dedication, and efforts put into realizing the full potential of the concept and story envisioned by director Vikram Kumar.
