Telangana CM Revanth plans to make Mucherla Hyderabads fourth city

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy revealed on Wednesday his plans to transform Mucherla into Hyderabad's "fourth city," complementing the existing metropolitan areas of Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad. He envisions Mucherla becoming a hub for investments, entertainment, sports, and academia, asserting that it will represent the future of Hyderabad.
In his Assembly speech, Revanth outlined ambitious plans for Mucherla, including the construction of a world-class skill development
university and a sports university, an international cricket stadium, and advanced medical facilities to establish the area as a health and education center. He promised that Mucherla would become a prime destination for investment, health services, education, skill training, international cricket events, job opportunities, and golf.
The National Academy of Construction will be relocated to Mucherla, and Metro Rail and MMTS connectivity will be extended to this new city. The government aims to replicate the developmental success seen in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad, with Mucherla following suit in growth and expansion.
Revanth also mentioned plans to introduce a comprehensive policy covering agriculture, industry, excise, energy, and other sectors. He emphasized the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in agriculture to enhance productivity.
Addressing the nation's limited achievements in international sports, Revanth expressed disappointment with India's solitary Olympic bronze medal despite its large population. He disclosed ongoing discussions with the BCCI about establishing an international cricket stadium in Mucherla. Later, the HCA president expressed gratitude to Revanth for the commitment to build the stadium on 100 acres of land.
