Sivarapalli Amazon Prime Telugu Web Series Review

Sivarapalli Web Series Story:

Shyam (Ragh Mayur) gets a job as the Panchayat Secretary in Sivarapalli. While all his friends are settling abroad, he feels uncomfortable with the idea of moving to a rural village. However, he cannot refuse his father's request and moves to the village in Telangana. In this village, Sushila (Roopa Lakshmi) is the Sarpanch, but her husband Sudhakar (Murali Dhar Goud) handles most of the work. They have a daughter, Anu, who is set to be married.

Shyam stays in a room at the Panchayat office, with Naresh as his assistant. The village atmosphere and the behavior of the villagers frustrate Shyam. He tries to prepare for his move abroad by reading books and making arrangements. He finds the villagers’ lack of responsibility toward government policies to be even more troubling.

While Shyam focuses on his work and dreams of leaving for a foreign country, the Sarpanch gets an idea to marry off her daughter, Anu, to him. This brings up a series of events. The key questions that drive the story are whether Shyam will succeed in his attempt to go abroad and whether he will marry Anu.

Shyam's dream is to go abroad and live happily there. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, he finds himself as the Panchayat Secretary in a rural village. He dislikes the village lifestyle and tries everything to move abroad as soon as possible. The story unfolds around the struggles and events Shyam faces during this period.

The plot is centered around the Panchayat office, bringing out the various characters and their behaviors in the village. The villagers’ innocence, kindness, and sometimes ignorant actions make for lighthearted and entertaining moments throughout the story.

"Sivarapalli" aptly revolves around village life, with a special focus on its rural setting. The series gives importance to a few key characters, and its natural storytelling style keeps the essence intact. The 8 episodes maintain a steady pace without getting boring, and the moments filled with natural humor and realistic conversations make the show enjoyable.

The actors have done justice to their roles. Ragh Mayur as the Panchayat Secretary, Murali Dhar Goud as the Sarpanch, Roopa Lakshmi as the Sarpanch’s wife, Uday Gurrala as the Deputy Sarpanch, and Sunny Pallé as Shyam’s assistant fit perfectly into their characters. Their performances feel organic, and they bring authenticity to the rural setting.

Director Bhaskar Maurya brings out the true essence of Telangana with his grounded approach. He captures the village setting, Telangana dialect, and its people in a relatable and engaging manner. The dialogues feel natural and connect well with the audience.

Vasu Pendem’s cinematography does a great job of showcasing the village environment. The locations and the visuals of rural life are presented effectively. The background music by Sinjit Eramilli adds depth to the series, giving it a distinctive touch. Sai Murali’s editing is clean, making the flow of the story smooth.
