Health Minister Satya Kumar has appealed to the Centre to allocate Rs 1000 crore under the National Health Mission NHM

In Vijayawada, Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav stated that the State government has requested Rs. 1,000 crore allocation under the National Health Mission (NHM) during his recent meetings with Union Ministers in New Delhi. Speaking to the media after the meetings on Wednesday, Satya Kumar emphasized that the funds were sought specifically for the construction of 'Arogya Mandir' buildings across the State.
During the discussions, Union Ministers also inquired about the political developments in Andhra Pradesh over the past 40 days. The Health Minister briefed them on various decisions taken by the State government during this period, including enhancements in social security pensions, implementation of a free sand policy, establishment of Anna Canteens, and the Skill Census. Despite the financial strain on the State government due to these initiatives, Satya Kumar noted that the Union Ministers appreciated these efforts.
