YSR Congress party president, Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy (YS Jagan) took a crucial decision. The NDA has decided to support candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential election. The ruling YSRCP in the AP on Thursday night announced its support for the NDA candidate in the presidential election. The YCP said it was a good women that for the first time in the history of independent India, a tribal woman was given a chance to become president. If presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu wins, she will go down in history as the first tribal woman to hold this position. For the past three years, Draupadi Murmuke has been the largest party in the country in social justice.
The party has always said that its party has always given priority to the representation of SC, ST, BC and minority communities. In the last three years, Chief Minister YS Jagan has given high priority to the upliftment of all sections, giving them good representation in the cabinet and ensuring that 70 per cent of them are present. YSSRCP said the chief minister would not attend the filing of Murmu's nomination on Friday due to the cabinet meeting. However, the YCP said that Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy and Lok Sabha leader MP Midhun Reddy were present.
NDA presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu will file his nomination for the presidency today. Many senior BJP leaders and party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will attend the nomination function for Draupadi Murmu. Presidential elections will be held on July 18 and counting will take place on July 21.
