Minister Kondapalli Srinivas New Industrial Policy Will Be the Best

VIJAYAWADA: The State government is working on crafting the best industrial policy in the country as part of the Viksit Andhra Pradesh initiative, according to Kondapalli Srinivas, Minister for MSME.
Speaking at a stakeholders' meeting organized by the government, APIIC, and CII to review the draft policy, Srinivas expressed satisfaction at the growing interest from industrialists in investing in the state. He emphasized that supporting these enthusiastic investors could yield excellent results.
The new policy will prioritize sectors such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, textiles, food processing, automotive, and biotechnology for setting up industrial units. Srinivas highlighted the state’s advantage of having a large pool of engineers and graduates and stressed the importance of aligning their skills with industry needs. He suggested making curriculum adjustments in collaboration with colleges and universities to better prepare students for the job market.
