Andhra Minister Satya Kumar Yadav Over 100000 Flood Victims Have Received Medical Aid

VIJAYAWADA: Minister for Health, Family Welfare, and Medical Education Satya Kumar Yadav called on health department officials to approach their work with the dedication of soldiers in serving flood victims.
At a training camp for multipurpose health assistants, supervisors, and sub-unit officers held at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada on Monday, he underscored the critical role of health workers during this emergency. He reported that 190 free medical camps have been organized, providing medical assistance to over 100,000 flood victims.
Minister Yadav noted that more than 1,000 medical professionals are actively working in the field. He emphasized the urgent need for mosquito larvae eradication, highlighting that areas submerged for over a week are at risk for diseases like malaria. He commended the contributions of medical personnel from Guntur, Krishna, Nellore, NTR, Kakinada, and Palnadu districts.
“We need to work with unwavering commitment for at least a week to ensure the success of this program,” he said, adding that house-to-house surveys are underway with 150 teams already deployed in flood-affected areas.
The Minister also acknowledged the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who has been providing direction to the Health and Medical Department since the onset of the floods.
Special Chief Secretary MT Krishna Babu and Health Commissioner C. Hari Kiran also addressed the gathering.
