DSC 2008 Victims: Huge Relief for Candidates – Postings Within a Week!

DSC 2008 Candidates Finally Get Relief – Telangana Government to Issue Postings Soon

After years of struggle, DSC 2008 candidates in Telangana are set to receive long-awaited job postings. Following the intervention of the High Court, the government has decided to provide postings within a week. However, whether the government will fulfill its promise this time remains to be seen.

Government Action After Years of Delay

The Telangana government had previously announced job postings for the DSC 2008 candidates but failed to implement the decision. Now, in an effort to rectify the situation, the government has once again assured postings.

The Education Department has declared that 1,399 affected candidates will be appointed as Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) on a contract basis. Official orders for these appointments are expected within the next few days.

A Long Fight for Justice

The affected candidates had secured high marks and appeared on the merit list in DSC-2008. However, due to last-minute policy changes in the then-united Andhra Pradesh, B.Ed. candidates were denied jobs. Since then, they have continuously fought for justice.

Before the Telangana Assembly elections, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy promised to resolve the issue. On September 24, 2024, the government approved appointing these candidates as SGTs under a minimum time scale contract system. The Education Department identified 2,367 affected candidates and verified their documents accordingly.

Final Steps Before Appointment

As per official records, 1,382 candidates have confirmed their willingness to join as SGTs. The government had initially approved a salary of ₹31,030 per month for these teachers. However, after months of inaction, the process was stalled.

Now, following the High Court’s intervention and pressure on the government, appointment orders are set to be issued. The Telangana Education Department has completed the final steps, and postings are expected to be handed out within a week.

Will the government finally stand by its word this time? The answer will unfold in the coming days.
