CM Naidu Meets PM Modi Requests Financial Support for Andhra Pradesh

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu arrived in New Delhi on Friday evening to discuss financial assistance for Andhra Pradesh with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other key ministers.
During his visit, Naidu plans to meet with the Prime Minister and Union Ministers to address the assurances made to Andhra Pradesh in the recent Union Budget. His agenda includes pressing for the early allocation of the Rs 15,000 crore announced for the development of the state capital, Amaravati, and requesting prompt release of funds for the state's backward districts. He will also seek resolutions for issues outlined in the AP State Reorganisation Act.
As part of his two-day trip, Naidu is also scheduled to meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. 
On his first evening in Delhi, Naidu met with Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil to discuss the Polavaram project. Accompanied by Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu, Union Minister of State Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu, and TDP MPs, Naidu presented a memorandum requesting expedited approvals and funding for the project. He emphasized the need to accelerate the completion of Polavaram's works.
