tics Telangana

Ponnam Prabhakar emphasized that all MPs should actively strive to secure funds for the development of Telangana

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar asserted on Monday that it is crucial for Union ministers representing Telangana to secure allocations in the Union Budget for projects mandated under the state bifurcation Act.
Speaking at the Assembly media point in Hyderabad, Prabhakar emphasized that unlike the previous administration, the current state government is fully prepared to collaborate with the Centre. He emphasized the state's entitlement to receive every rupee it requests under the federal system, highlighting the need for unity among all Members of Parliament (MPs) from Telangana, regardless of party affiliation, to advocate for the state's interests.
Prabhakar noted that the present government has abandoned the practice of refraining from meetings between the Chief Minister and ministers with the Prime Minister and Union ministers. He underscored the separation of electoral politics from governance, affirming the state's readiness to cooperate closely with the Central government.
Accusing the Union government of neglecting to allocate funds for the supply of essential commodities and infrastructure development in Hyderabad over several years, Prabhakar called on the Centre to support ongoing developmental initiatives initiated by the state government.
This stance reflects the Transport Minister's proactive approach in advocating for Telangana's developmental needs and ensuring that commitments under the state's bifurcation Act are fulfilled through collaborative efforts with the Central government.
