In Vijayawada, P. Vishnu Kumar Raju has been elected as the BJP floor leader in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. This announcement was made by Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu on Wednesday, following a message from BJP State unit president Daggubati Purandeswari confirming Raju's appointment. Additionally, C. Adinarayana Reddy was appointed as the Whip of the BJP in the Assembly.
Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu also disclosed the names of panel Speakers, which include Mandali Buddha Prasad, N. Varadarajulu Reddy, Jyothula Nehru, Kolla Lalitha Kumar, Dasari Sudha, and P. Vishnu Kumar Raju.
Earlier in the week, Vishnu Kumar Raju stirred controversy with his strong remarks about voters who supported the YSRC in the recent elections. He criticized the 40% of voters who chose YSRC, questioning their decision with provocative statements like, "I don’t know whether they have brains or not," during a debate.
These developments highlight Raju's prominent role within the BJP in Andhra Pradesh and the political dynamics within the state assembly.
