Trump’s ‘Gold Card’ for Citizenship to Go on Sale in Two Weeks

Trump Announces ‘Gold Card’ for Citizenship, Expected to Launch in Two Weeks

Washington, Feb 26: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a new ‘Gold Card’, which will offer a pathway to U.S. citizenship for those who purchase it. The card is expected to be priced at $5 million and will likely go on sale in two weeks.

The ‘Gold Card’ aims to help American companies recruit top talent from U.S. universities, especially students from India, China, and Japan. It will also allow wealthy foreign investors to settle in the U.S. and start businesses that could create new jobs. Trump described it as a "Green Card Plus", emphasizing that it provides a fast-track to citizenship.

The U.S. already offers Green Cards for permanent residency and has the EB-5 visa program, which grants residency for investments over $1 million. However, Trump’s administration claims the current system is inefficient. Trump believes the ‘Gold Card’ will help companies retain top graduates and also generate revenue to reduce national debt. More details about this initiative are expected soon.
